I could re-install the game and see how that works out, but most people said this did not solve the problem.
Also I have re-installed uplay and made sure my drivers were up to date. Has anyone here had this issue? Does anyone have any possible solutions? I'm trying to get in contact with steam support, but they keep sending me to ubisoft. and all my other games have run fine (battlefield, gta, cs, mirrors edge, TF2, etc.). At one point I got an error message regarding memory, but that was a one time occurrence. Then i get a "Far Cry 3 has stopped working" dialog box. I hit play in steam, which opens uplay, and the far cry 3 splash screen appears. I just got Far Cry 3 from the autumn steam sale, really excited to play it but the game crashes on start up.
